Dr. Ziad Jweiles, the President of the National TVET Commission, affirmed his full readiness to assist the Beir-Nabala Development and Development Association in establishing a specialized academy for vocational and technical education in the town of Beir Nabala north-west of occupied Jerusalem, in coordination with relevant ministries and authorities. Dr. Jweiles's affirmations came during a field visit to the town of Beir-Nabala, in response to an invitation from the Beir Nabala Development and Development Association to inspect the proposed site for establishing the specialized academy, accompanied by Dr. Imad Salem, Mr. Firas Tannina, and Mr. Saif Anati, while being received by the association's president and philanthropist Hajj Tawfiq al-Nabali, and Mr. Samer Subh from the association. Dr. Jweiles expressed admiration for the proposed site for establishing the academy, which the association aimed to establish as an industrial school, but Dr. Jweiles confirmed that the location of the land and its area are suitable for an integrated multi-level academy for the vocational and technical education sector, to be built and equipped to be a pioneering Palestinian model. For his part, Hajj Tawfiq al-Nabali emphasized that the academy serves 15 Palestinian towns and villages located in the outskirts of Jerusalem, which have been separated by the annexation and expansion wall from the city of Jerusalem, despite being adjacent to it, and they are in urgent need of establishing an institution for vocational and technical education and training, given the urgent need of the region for this institution, in terms of training and qualifying Palestinian youth to meet the needs of the labor market.

Dr. Ziad Jweiles, the President of the National TVET Commission, met with the Palestinian Trainers Association to discuss cooperation prospects between the two sides in working on the development of the vocational and technical education sector, and preparing trainers capable of training in this sector. The delegation included the following members: Ayman Al-Meemi, the Chairman of the Association's Board of Directors, Dr. Muhanad Abu Shamma, the Vice-Chairman of the Board of Directors, Malik Tomar, the Treasurer, and Ms. Salwa Sharaf, the Secretary.

Dr. Ziad Jweiles, the President of the Commission, received a delegation from the United Nations Development Program (UNDP), consisting of Motaz Dawabsheh, the Director of the Program Portfolio at the United Nations Development Program, Ms. Nada Nabris, the Project Director for Support to Vocational and Technical Education in Jerusalem, and Ziad Aqel, the Director of the Renewable Energy Program. The meeting discussed the first phase of the capacity support program for the workers in the commission, in addition to supporting the TVET sector program in Jerusalem, funded by the UNDP program, and discussing the next phase in this context, which would enhance the joint cooperation between the two sides. Dr. Jweiles praised the fruitful cooperation between the commissiona nd the United Nations Development Program, which contributes to the development of the vocational and technical education sector in Palestine, serving the Palestinian youth, emphasizing the importance of continuing to support the projects and programs of the commission. For his part, Motaz Dawabsheh emphasized the interest of the United Nations Development Program in the National Commission, as a national umbrella for the vocational and technical education sector in Palestine, for its role in enhancing the status and development of this sector.
