The Belgian Development Cooperation Agency contributes to supporting the TVET sector by enhancing education and learning, community participation, and increasing employability rates.
Pathways to Employment Project (PEP): This project aims to empower young Palestinians through economic empowerment and enhancing their social and economic participation. It focuses on addressing challenges such as enhancing public employment services, promoting skills upgrading initiatives, and enhancing the entrepreneurial ecosystem. The project targets over 1,000 young men and women in all Palestinian regions.
Skills Development Fund (SDF): This fund aims to achieve a long-term vision for a sustainable technical and skill development financing system, that aligns with the national policies of TVET in Palestine. It is connected to performance and efficiency standards in implementing TVET systems and services and the need for sustainable financing mechanisms through partnerships with the private sector. A skills development fund blueprint has been developed.
Youth Economic Empowerment (YEP): NTC participates in the Steering Committee of the Youth Economic Empowerment Project (YEP) with Enabel. The project is part of the larger EU-program on Youth Empowerment that is supporting economic empowerment and promoting the socio-economic engagement of young Palestinians.
