The National Commission affirmed that UNRWA educational and training institutions constitute a fundamental component of the Palestinian education system, and that preserving them and strengthening their capacity to provide services is a national priority, given the valuable services they have provided over decades in building the capacities of Palestinian youth and enhancing their readiness to enter the labour market and contribute to economic and social development.

This visit comes as part of a series of national meetings and efforts aimed at strengthening partnership and complementarity among the various institutions working in the technical and vocational education and training sector, in a manner that ensures the sustainability of educational and training services provided to the Palestinian people.
