Dr. Ziad Jweiles, President of the National TVET Commission, and Mr. Fareed Ghannam, Deputy Minister of Finance, along with a representative from the German Development Bank at the Prime Minister's Office in Ramallah, signed an agreement for support from the Republic of Germany for the vocational and technical education and training sector, amounting to 22 million euros. The signing ceremony was attended by the Prime Minister, Dr. Mohammed Ishtayeh, as well as the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Mahmoud Abu Mweis, the Minister of Labor, Dr. Nasri Abu Jaish, and the President of Nablus University for Vocational and Technical Education, Dr. Rizq Salimiya. This agreement aligns with Palestinian national priorities regarding supporting employment and the vocational and technical education and training sector in Palestine by providing support for the infrastructure of all government vocational and technical education and training institutions, in addition to contributing to the establishment of Nablus University for Vocational and Technical Education, especially in constructing the administration building and other facilities.

We were honored in Algeria to host our partners from the Palestinian territories in November 2022 to exchange experiences with various ministries of the Algerian government regarding vocational training, employment policies, and the informal economy.

 The President of the National TVET Commission, Dr. Ziad Jweiles, received today, in his office in Ramallah, the Director of the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation in Palestine, Mr. Giulimo Giordano. Dr. Jweiles welcomed the guest delegation and gave a comprehensive presentation about the Commission, its establishment, objectives, work, and joint projects that can be undertaken between the two sides, as well as the most significant achievements of the Commission. In turn, Mr. Giordano emphasized the importance of mutual cooperation between the Italian Cooperation Agency and the Commission, highlighting the importance of specialization and attention to some vocational specialties that Palestine excels in. This meeting comes as part of the President of the Commission and its staff's efforts to develop partnerships with all international organizations, in order to develop the vocational education and training sector. Mohammed Musleh, Program Director in the Economic Development Sector at the Italian Cooperation Office, odai Qabajeh, Director of the Office of the Commission's President, Rana Al-Masri from the Commission, and Lisa Beth Al-Bainous from the International Assistance Coordination Secretariat at the Prime Minister's Office (LACS) attended the meeting.
