📌 Key Highlights from Dr. Rabah Morrar’s Interview with Voice of Palestine Radio on Technical and Vocational Education and Training in Palestine

During his interview today with Voice of Palestine Radio, Dr. Rabah Morrar, President of the National Commission for Technical and Vocational Education and Training, emphasized that developing the Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) system in Palestine has become an urgent national priority in light of ongoing economic challenges and high unemployment rates.

He stressed the need to move beyond the traditional perception of TVET and recognize it as a key pathway for employment, productivity, economic empowerment, tackling unemployment, and creating job opportunities locally, internationally, and remotely. He also highlighted the importance of promoting a culture of skills, work, and productivity among young people, students, and parents.

Dr. Morrar explained that the Commission’s role focuses on governing the TVET system, coordinating the efforts of relevant institutions, developing policies, and mobilizing resources and funding. These efforts contribute to strengthening the alignment of education and training with labor market needs.

He also emphasized the strong partnership between the Commission, the Ministry of Education and Higher Education, the Ministry of Labor, and other relevant institutions in developing the TVET system and raising public awareness of its importance.
