The National Commission Follows Up on the Work of the Steering Committee of the VET4 Social Impact Project and the Endorsement of the Next Implementation Steps
The National Commission for Technical and Vocational Education and Training followed up, via videoconference, on the meeting of the Steering Committee of the VET4 Social Impact Project, held in Nicosia, Cyprus, with the participation of project partners from Palestine and Egypt, as well as a number of European institutions.
During the meeting, participants:
▪️ Reviewed the progress achieved in implementing the project activities and the main results attained.
▪️ Followed up on the outputs of the Institutional Self-Assessment Tool and the capacity-building activities implemented within the project.
▪️ Presented the results of the Centres of Excellence training, digital training, and social entrepreneurship activities.
▪️ Endorsed the implementation steps and the action plan for the 2026–2027 period to ensure the completion of activities and the achievement of the targeted outputs.
▪️ Agreed on the implementation of specialized training programmes in the areas of social impact assessment, fundraising, and peer learning among partners.
▪️ Followed up on the development of community-based tourism and social innovation initiatives, as well as the organization of hackathons and the project’s international conference.
▪️ Reviewed performance indicators and monitoring and evaluation mechanisms in a way that enhances the project’s impact and the sustainability of its results.
The National Commission reaffirms its commitment to continuing its work with local and international partners to strengthen the role of technical and vocational education and training in supporting economic and social development and empowering youth, women, and vulnerable groups.
